The amount of E-ways available in this country and the problems that pose to the environment are known. India has more than 1.0 million tones of E- waste lying around. Samki Teck has recently partnering with SwissRtec to provide complete turn-key solutions for E-Waste Management.

E-wastes are initially sorted manually called stripping where the components are dismantled. After removing plastics enclosures, glass parts such as CRT in monitors, electronic components are sent for shredding. These components are shredded and ferrous material is removed by magnetic separation. Then the material goes for de- lamination unit, which remove the top layers of any composite material on the PCB’s and other parts.  Then the material goes through the Eddy current separator and series of vibro screens to separate out material such as copper, aluminum, lead, plastics and refractory oxides. The Purity of each material recovered is guaranteed up to 99.5%.

SwissRtec provide the complete turnkey projects, which include the dust handling, dust collection before letting the air out.  The entire process is a dry process and there is no water pollution.  Most of the recovered material are off high quality and therefore can fetch good price.

Stage I. Manual sorting with SwissRtec technology to recover ferrous, copper, aluminum, tin and plastics.

Stage II. Depending on the content of precious material such as Gold, Silver, and Platinum a separate process , either  chemical stripping or by melting cum electrolysis process can be chosen.
